Essential Criteria
It is essential that the successful candidate is able to demonstrate the following:
•A third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, or demonstrable equivalent relevant experience gained through relevant technical and engineering roles.
•A strong understanding of power engineering principles and their practical application within an electricity distribution or utility environment.
•Proven experience leading and delivering projects or complex engineering initiatives, with accountability for scope, programme, stakeholders and outcomes.
•A high level of IT capability, including effective use of Microsoft Office applications and other digital tools to support analysis, reporting and project delivery.
•Hold a current UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
It would be advantageous if you have any of the following:
•A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile or similar).
•Practical knowledge of smart grid technologies and an understanding of how they can be applied within an electricity network.
•An understanding of electricity market design and operation
•Experience contributing to or delivering innovation, trial or demonstrator projects, particularly within a utility or infrastructure environment.
•Experience engaging with and managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
•Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards membership)
