Shortlisting Criteria

It is essential that the successful candidate meets the following requirements
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a CAD Technician CAD Engineer, or BIM Technician role within
the infrastructure, utilities, construction, engineering or built environment sectors.
• A UK accredited HNC/HND or Foundation Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering,
Construction Engineering, Building Information Modelling (BIM) or a related discipline
• Demonstrable experience in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD for the production of engineering drawings
within a design or project delivery environment.
• Knowledge and application of recognised engineering drawing standards, design documentation
requirements and CAD quality assurance processes.
• Experience in the production of reinforced concrete detailing using CAD software, including practical
experience of CADS RC or equivalent reinforced concrete detailing software.
• Working knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles and the use of BIM processes
within engineering or construction projects.
• Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), including an
understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the Principal Designer.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold a full current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle that can be used for business
travel throughout Northern Ireland.
